Topic: Ever forgetful Tim
Occasionally I do some really stupid things. Often, this is a result of the fact that I have the memory of a goldfish. Things like putting something down, turning around, turning back, and then completely forgetting what I was originally doing.

This morning was one of those moments. On Saturday, I set out with a goal: Go buy a decent blender. We didn't have one - it's something I've been meaning to get for a long time - so I did the research, but ended up getting a decently powered ice-destroying blender which was also on the cheap end of the scale. Not because I'm cheap, but because I decided that if it ends up getting used frequently, I may just end up getting a decent/expensive one in time. For now though there was only one simple requirement: It must be able to destroy ice.

Well, as it turns out, it can also hold its own against spoons too!

Before I got up today, someone left the freezer open - so much of the stuff in there melted. So in between adding and scooping in smoothie ingredients, I got distracted, added the final ingredients, put the top on, and powered it up. Suddenly there I am thinking "hmmm, that doesn't sound good, it's having a hard time getting through that Ice. Oh well, more pulses."

Suddenly I think to myself, "hmm, where did I put that spoon... oh shit".

I was worried it might have destroyed the blades, but in fact they're rather intact - so, Sunbeam blender 1, Spoon, definitely still 0. Maybe a photo might be in order, as it has some decent size pieces of metal missing :)

Oops. Hopefully that mistake will be one not made again.
