Fire whips though bondage parlour

Scott came across this article on The Age thismorning:

A misplaced candle is believed to have started a fire that caused about $100,000 damage to a bondage and discipline parlour in inner Melbourne.

But then you get to the third paragraph:

An MFB spokesman said 18 firefighters "were tied up for some time but disciplined and controlled firefighting contained the blaze to one room on the second floor".[source]

Good to know some reporters for major newspapers still have a sense of humor and aren't subject to political correctness :)

Funniest TV series intro ever

Well, IMO. The most recent episode of Boston Legal (3x22 - Guantanamo by the bay) opened with one of the regular characters, Jerry Espenson, asking for his job back. Those unfamiliar with the character, he has aspergers syndrome, and is quite a strange little character.

Anyhow...

Took until almost the end of the credits to sink in and then took me a few minutes to recover :)

Internal Bug Reports

It seems the guy we've got doing some testing on our system has a sense of humour. The following is from one of the feature requests he's submitted - basically, we're missing a bit of input validation which we somehow overlooked:

Can we check for blank spaces at the end in text fields?

At the moment , I can create a blank brand with a blank campaign with a blank distribution which contains blank products and unlabeled assets.

I can then create a new blank distribution with a blank name etc…, and load in dataset and give it a blank name etc..

Anyways it makes the app look like it’s full of ghosts or something.

There was also another one which caught our attention, on a screen where the stage/process is represented in Roman numerals, as "iiii":

I aint Ancient Roman, but that aint right.

What have we learnt from history?

Some of you will remember the chaser skit where they went around to see who had learnt from the battle of Troy - who would accept a trojan horse as a gift? (Turkish embassy, perhaps?)

Well, this Easter they were testing what else we've learnt from history - Would religious people accept fruit from a serpent?
